PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN OPPORTUNITY!
SMART (Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation) is offering an unpaid Public Relations internship opportunity, working approximately 20 hours per week, in their downtown Detroit office.
Build your portfolio while you gain experience in research, writing and fact-finding for press releases, newsletter articles, backgrounders and white papers. Other possibilities include, providing assistance in the development and rollout of internal communications, employee newsletters and organizing special events.
This position will commence on a regular schedule in the Fall, 2009. Qualified candidates will be undergraduate students pursuing a degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field.
Qualifications ~ Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* College coursework in public relations, communications, journalism or related field.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer applications.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
This is an unpaid internship. Student also receives a free student bus pass for the semester.
